Bolivian Red Catuai is a distinguished Arabica variety celebrated for its vibrant fruity profile, ranging from apricot and ripe berries to orange and raspberry. Its character and body are deeply shaped by the processing method: the “Red” name refers to the fully ripe red cherry of the plant, and both washed and natural processes deliver unique expressions of this cultivar.
Flavor Profile
Fuller body & complexity: Red Catuai typically offers a richer, more layered cup compared to its Yellow Catuai counterpart.
Processing influence:
Washed: Clean, bright, with pronounced berry and fruit notes—ideal for light to medium roasts.
Natural: Sweeter and more intensely fruity, often showing honeydew-like tones thanks to gentle maceration.
This exceptional coffee will soon be part of our South American selection once we secure a reliable, ethically aligned partner in Bolivia.
